Comfort-ing

We began our summer vacation (the one that lasted more than a weekend!) by visiting my mom and Jim in Comfort.  To give you just a glimpse of how much we all love the Texas Hill Country, I asked Cole earlier this summer to tell me where he would live if he could live anywhere. His answer: "Here [we were at home]. No, wait-- at Mimi's!"

Well, where else can you swing like this...

And have popsicles while watching the deer eat corn in the backyard

And enjoy a quiet moment with your brother

And practice your casting off the back porch

And float in a clear, clean community pool for $1 [@ Lady Bird Johnson State Park]

And enjoy watching turkeys eat the corn the deer left

And ride in a helicopter... WAIT, WHAT?!  That's right - all four of us went on our first helicopter ride around Fredericksburg. It was so, so fun!

Somehow Jim managed to escape my camera lens. I'm pretty sure it was because he was constantly getting the gear ready for Cole to fish and the deer corn ready for Tate to throw!
