Well the last post about the school year, that is.
Today was Field Day and the kids had a blast. I was only able to make it for a few minutes at the end, but Cole said he tied to win the jumping contest and loved the bounce house and slides. He did not participate in the water-spraying events. If you know Cole, this is not surprising because (1) he does not like to be in wet clothes AT ALL, and (2) he doesn't like to mess up his hair. Daylee Grace went to Field Day with Braxton and didn't want to get wet either, so here are two cute and dry kids:
Cole and his friend Zachary at pizza time after Field Day!
Finally, I meant to post this picture in the post yesterday. Cole had two "Fifth Grade Buddies" this year to help him transition to school. The Pre-K kids LOVED their Buddies. They had an end of year party with both classes together this year, and Cole's Buddies wrote the nicest notes to him:
In case you can't read the small print, they say, "Dear Cole, You were the best Pre-K buddy ever. You are funny. I am going to miss you a lot next year. From: Peyton" And "Dear Cole, I am so happy that you were my Pre-K friend. I had a great time with you this year. From: Hunter" We saw both these boys speak at the promotion ceremony yesterday, and they were impressive. (Just to give you an idea, one of the fifth grades recited from memory the entire Gettysburg Address and another recited the Declaration of Independence.) Smart and kind kids!
