Lovey Schmovey

I am not a huge romantic.  To those of you that know me, I'm sure this is *shocking*.  Mike and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day for that reason, and because it falls 2 weeks after his birthday, 1 week before mine, and 2.5 weeks before our anniversary.

I do, however, like to celebrate Valentine's Day for the kids.  I will be helping out at Cole's class party this year. Oh yes, you will see pictures of the festivities later this week. I'm certain you're holding your breath.

This year I ordered photo cards for Cole from Tinyprints. He picked the design, I chose the picture, and they turned out super cute!

Cole and I then made gifts of M&Ms in mason jars for both the boys' teachers and aides. We stole borrowed this idea from Aunt Kaka. (We also are giving Cole's teacher a new CD by the kids' band Hullabaloo for her class - LOVE THEM!)

Finally, we made small treat bags for just a few close friends with retro-style tags (Cole referred to the picture of the sewing machine on one card as the "maker thing.") We delivered a couple of them early so these were a few that were left when I snapped this photo last night.

To my 3 Valentines: I love you more every day.
And to show me that you love me in return, I bought myself new shoes. No need to bring home chocolate. ;)
