One of the things I like about living in Texas: having friends who, after making a four hour round-trip drive to pick up a mounted buffalo head (shout-out, Thurman!), brought over brisket tacos!
We enjoyed the Peacocks' brisket tacos with some of our semi-homemade charro beans and some mini pumpkin pie crosssiants that I made. Lovely Texas Saturday dinner (while cheering on LSU).
Just in case you can't read her shirt, it says: "Tiaras make you taller." Yes they do, Miss Kate! And we like all things big, tall, and sparkly!
By the way, NSP, despite your beautiful family, nice home, new truck, your college education from the University of Texas, your law school degree, and your own firm, you can now consider yourself having "made" it by your appearance on the blog. ;)
