Today was the first day I had to drop Tate at day care. The scene: 2 quiet nursery workers, 10 screaming infants, and 1 crying mom. Good times in the infant room. I did not actually cry in the nursery, but I wanted to after I realized Tate is by far the youngest baby and the only one on breast milk, which posed an entire new issue in the nursery.
Thank goodness it all worked out just fine. When I rushed to the church directly after my meeting, Tate was happily swatting at toys in a bouncer and the lovely teachers said he slept a long time and was perfect (as if he would be anything else - there is a reason we call him "The Golden Child.") Plus, it helps that a friend's mom teaches there, so I know she's like Big Brother keeping a watchful eye on him.
Well, after being stressed out about Tate at day care, stressed out about work, stressed out about my dirty house, stressed out about the yellow cloud of allergy-inducing pollen outside (you getting the picture...) I found out that an old e-mail account that I rarely use has been... HACKED!
Apparently the account was hacked and sent an obscene SPAM e-mail out to all my contacts. Nice way to top off the day. I am SO SORRY if you received one of these e-mails. I have closed that account and am running anti-virus software on our computers.
The silver lining to this terrible day: my mother-in-law sent me an e-mail telling me that I was funny. And here I thought it was impossible to love her any more!
Okay, this sounds like a Manic Monday instead of Wednesday! Hopefully things will be smoother next week. Did you expect anything different of the perfect baby? I bet he sweetly smiled at all of his friends and teachers all day :)
ReplyDeleteDear Linds, you have ALWAYS been funny - and you are an extraordinary mother, wife, lawyer, friend, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law - the works!!!
