It is Thanksgiving time, almost Christmas time, Mom's birthday time, friend time, homework time, Christmas play time, work time, volutneer time, party time, and I NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TIME!
But, I try to cram as much in as possible because you are not promised more time here.
I enjoyed a wonderful Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast with Tate last week at his school. Chief Cutie right here. We enjoyed all the Thanksgiving staples at the feast this year -- Chick-fil-A nuggets, fruit salad, carrot sticks, mac & cheese, and Snickerdoodle cookies. HA!
Late Thursday evening, I drove down to Austin and switched over to Christmas-mode. I hit up the Junior League's "A Christmas Affair" with Katy, her mom Trish, and her friend, Hillary, all day Friday. It was SO.MUCH.FUN.
They serve mimosas, there are tons of booths set up to shop, it smells and looks like the holidays, and THEY SERVE MIMOSAS. Did I mention it was fun? ;)
I always enjoy Trish and loved meeting Hillary. She's my kind of people. We also ran into some other friends of Katy's that I've met, and it was fun to catch up.
After watching one of JackAttack's soccer games on Friday night, I woke up Saturday morning and switched over to Birthday mode. I (with the help of these Lovlies) surprised my mom for an early 65th birthday celebration at Lost Pines Resort near Bastrop.
We slowed things down a little, and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the spa and on the grounds of the resort on a beautiful, cool Hill County afternoon.
Plus, we had the #bestbabyever to entertain us!
~Super Baby, Jack Dawson~
We enjoyed a fancy steak dinner at Stories restaurant, and stayed up eating cake, sipping wine, talking, and laughing in our pajamas until almost midnight.
It's a good day when you get to surprise your mom and light the candles on her cake for once. Happiest 65th, Mom! Love you, and hope this was the best birthday so far!
After a long drive home on Sunday, I was ready for FAMILY TIME. I missed this scruffy face and the two dirty ones that wouldn't sit still long enough for me to snap a photo of them.
I am blessed ALL THE TIME.
xo,
Linds

That picture of you lighting the candles with your mom?? Exactly how I remember the both of you from over 20 years ago. Neither of you have changed a bit! Happy birthday to your sweet Mama.
