You might think that after a full week at the beach and a resort with multiple pools that we might be water logged... you'd be wrong. We have been in our pool every day since we got back from Mexico.
Mike jumped in with the boys to celebrate Father's Day.
And he grilled for us on his new gas grill/griddle combo! HFD to seriously one of the best dads around.
These boys spent a day at Superhero Dodgeball Camp at Brook Hill last week.
They named their team "The Crazies." Lordy. The Crazies won 2nd place overall -- even beating teams made up of 5th graders!
Beck, Braxton, Dylan, Breckin, and Cole
We then had Braxton over to swim, and the boys had so much fun playing pool football
and diving underwater.
Speaking of diving underwater, this kid can now dive down to the bottom of our 8+ foot deep pool and get dive sticks with the big kids. He's not even 4 1/2! He amazes me. Most of his friends are still in floaties, and I'm pretty sure Cole wasn't swimming on his own at this age (he certainly wasn't diving to the bottom of pools). We went to a swimming party for a friend of Tate's on Saturday morning and he dove down to the bottom of their 9-foot deep pool.
We had Breckin and Jett over to swim with Cole one afternoon, and 4 sweet little girls that are the daughters of the moms in my Bridge Group over to swim. I was enjoying the pool those afternoons and didn't snap any photos, but we had such a great week entertaining friends in the water! I'm not sure the girls were prepared for the rapid fire of water guns, however ;)
Friday night is usually reserved for Family Pizza & Movie Night at our house. But this summer we're turning into Family Pizza & Moonlight Swim Night! :)
It was a rough week at work for this dude so he wanted to chill out... ;)
We spent Sunday Funday with the Westbrooks swimming and cooking fajitas.
Little Cruz (just turned 2) has been scared of swimming since he's been born, but for some reason on Sunday he worked up the courage to swim AND even jumped off the dive rock all by himself. Look at that precious smile!!
These two little fish had fun swimming and eating me out of popsicles and ice cream!
I might have been diving with the adults (hey -- I think I can do a flying squirrel, too!) and ruptured my ear drum. Another reminder that I cannot go head first into water and that I'm not 25 anymore. BOOOOO.
We also sneaked in a date night and had dinner with the Peacocks on Saturday. I once again managed to forget to take a group photo that night, but we had a blast eating sushi and talking while the kids... well, of course... SWAM!
