Daddy-O

Happy Father's Day!

To the main men in my life, I say... you are blessed to have each other, and I am blessed to have you.

I also have an amazing dad, who has shared with me a sense of adventure and a love of family.

My father-in-law/Mike's dad is a fighter.  He brings our family close through the good times and bad.

We are blessed with a Papa Jim, too.  He is amazing with the boys, teaching them a love and respect of nature... and the Spurs!

A fun Father's Day comparison ~
John, Tate, Johnny, Cole (all between 3.5-4 years of age)

We had a great weekend, getting to see our friends Chris & Tricia from Shreveport on Friday night, spending Saturday evening at the pool after Mike golfed, and watching the TCU-Tech game and swimming with the Durretts on Sunday afternoon.

Larry (Drew's Dad), Mike, Von, Drew, Toby (Ashley's BIL), and Ashley's Dad

Notice we did have a Tech cup despite the fact that I was completely out-numbered by TCU Frog fans at this party :)

Tate "made" this sweet card for Mike at school, and was pretty spot-on! :)

Earlier in the week, we made blue cupcakes. With blue icing. Because... why not?!

The boys also had semi-private swim lessons the past week with the Westbrooks kids.  Cole, Jett, and Breckin took together in one lesson to work on treading water for longer periods of time (3 mins for the older 2!), lung capacity, and freestyle and back strokes.  Tate and Saige followed in their first-ever swim class, and were super cute and brave.

We had a little fun on Friday after a week of working hard.

Happy Father's Day to my brother, Clay, and Great Grandpa Schut. And we miss dearly Grandpa Stansberry, Bob, and Papaw. What awesome role models.   And to my friends who lost their fathers recently, we send HUGS. PRAYERS. LOVE.

And last but definitely not least, happiest of birthdays to Peggy/Baca/Mom and our nephew Quinn today and to one of our BFFs, Katy, yesterday. What an awesome weekend to celebrate family and friends!
