Plan B [Updated]

This past week was Spring Break.  We were set to spend a week in Durango with the Whytlaws.  Reagan's dad fell critically ill and we ended up in Dallas for a couple of days to help them out.  We cancelled the trip to Colorado to support my lifelong friend and her family that is like a second one to me.  I am going to leave it to her to write about the details, but I would encourage EVERYONE to be an organ donor.  You can put the designation on your driver's license, tell your friends and family, and/or sign up here: www.donatelifetexas.org  You do not need your organs after you are gone, and you can help up to 50 people just by agreeing to donate.  You also never know exactly what they can use; as an example, my 80+ year old grandfather's skin went to help burn victims after he passed away.

We took all 4 kids to the Perot Museum in downtown Dallas one day.  It is hands-on, educational, fun, and I highly recommend it.  These kids are 8 1/2, 7 1/2, 4 1/2, and 3.  They all loved it.  They also all ran in different directions :)

Grady and Tate racing a shark on the giant screen:

We ended up taking the boys to Santa Fe for a few days during the week, and we were able to ski/snowboard, go sledding, eat great food, and relax.  Albeit, our hearts were still in Dallas.

We also enjoyed celebrating our 11th Anniversary!

The inn where we stayed has a great hot tub!

Dad was able to meet us, which was GREAT because he kept Tate during the days so we could go skiing and take Cole snowboarding.

Cole "stole" Dad's hat and glasses and took a "ride" on an old wagon at the hotel.  The boys also collected rocks, and enjoyed the gorgeous weather -- just playing outside being boys.

We had a couple of great days on the slopes.
(Warning: LOTS of darling ski pics and videos of Cole coming up!)

Lift selfies :)

Cole shredding it ~ he has wonderful balance and is a "professional" snowboarder as he says ;)

We took our last full day in Santa Fe to take both boys sledding.  Tate had a blast having a snowball fight with us!

Loved our Spring Break Plan B this year, and already looking forward to next year with the Whytlaws.

p.s. The boys actually did GREAT on the 11+ hour drive home today.  We are beat, but WHOO HOOO! Maybe (knock on wood) we are through the "Tate hates the car" phase that has lasted the past 3 years.
