Go Frogs?

We decided last minute to take another trip to DFW this weekend: this time to Ft. Worth to see TCU play Grambling State in the season opener for the Frogs.  Now, I would have much rather been cheering on the Red Raiders but I'll take any college football game over just staying at home.

Tate was in the TCU spirit.  Actually, Tate was intently watching everything: the F-16 flyover, the Rocket Man with the jet pack who flew into the stadium with the game ball, the fireworks show, and most of all - the GAME.

Our family of four.
(I did not have my good camera, so these are all taken with our phones and aren't very good quality.)

Cole and Braxton during the game. Note that Cole (rightly) is confused about the correct hand signal. It's a Guns Up in one hand and a half-frog, half-gun in the other. :)  He and Braxton had a blast at the game. They are a great age, and we made it past half-time before heading back down to the tailgate area, and actually stayed at the stadium until the game was over.  Yes, the Grambling State band was amazing! They lived up to all the hype.

We spent most of our time with the Durretts, but we saw tons of friends: the Whytlaws/Williams/Bishops, Stephen Reed, and Dale/Joel/Jonathan all from law school, just to name a few.

We stayed downtown Funkytown, and the boys were amazing. Except on the ride home Sunday morning. Longest. Trip. Ever.

In other news, Cole-man lost tooth #2 - this time AGAIN while we were having dinner with the Westbrooks (Dr. Westbrook is our dentist!).  An apple and a little pull on the tooth from Dad did the trick this time. $5 from the Tooth Fairy.  This is definitely NOT the same Tooth Fairy that visited me ;)
