Dear Santa...

This is Cole's letter to Santa Claus:

He is very specific about what he wants, so I hope he's a good boy and Santa listens. We have tried to teach him more about giving to others this year.  It is difficult with young kids, but last week he willingly picked out a toy (a dinosaur play set) for the Toys for Tots drive.  He dropped it in the collection box, and then proceeded to look through all of the other toys in the box (someone joked that he was "shopping"). I tried my best to explain to him that these toys are going to boys and girls that are not as fortunate as Tate and him. I think he understood better this year than he has before, so we'll just continue to reinforce the lessons of giving.

In other news, we made it through the Tour of Homes.  I would estimate we had about 75-100 people come through.  A special thanks to Kelley who collected the tickets at the door. In exchange, we're hoping she picked up some votes in her bid for County Attorney (hence my campaign button).  It was a good experience... one that I will not be volunteering for again! At least not while I have two kids at home.  Mike was a good sport and helped me clean the house to get ready for the tour.  He also greeted the guests... in between trips to watch football and take a few chugs on the back patio!  Yes, honey, I noticed. But I don't blame you ;)
